One Piece Summit War Season Six: Excuse Me While I Cry and Die

This season!!!!!

I don’t think I will ever be over this season. There have been some emotional moments for me over the course of my One Piece journey but this season by far takes the cake. I think I might actually be writing this from beyond the grave. I’m 99% sure I actually cried myself to death. At the very least my soul is dead. Removed from my body in grief!

If you are new to One Piece please leave me during this time of sorrow and view my first post so that you can enjoy this show spoiler free. This post won’t contain spoilers for season six but the other five season are up for grabs. So this is your chance to bailout before you see anything you don’t want to see yet!

Okay everyone can we all just take a deep calming breath before we get into this?

* Inhale… Exhale… *

I’m emotionally ready now.

After season 4 we have patiently been waiting for news about Ace. Sadly even though I had hope to get right to it in season five that doesn’t happen. While season five brings us a new crew member, great fights (not you Usopp), and killer zombies the news on Ace is pretty scarce. Season six is when we finally get into it and what an emotional ride it proves to be. Not just dealing with the relationship between Luffy and Ace, everything about this season seems to bring the feels.

You have a lot to look forward to this season besides seeing more Ace. You know this says a bunch coming from me because Ace is my favorite next to Zorro. This season is a game changer in so many ways though!

  • We get a first hand look at a boatload of new pirates. Turns out that The Straw Hats aren’t the only ones keeping the government busy these days.
  • Speaking of the government they’re making themselves known in big way this season. After everything that happened between them and Robin I think we can all agree that they need to seriously clean house when it comes to corruption. Just when you think they can’t get any worse season six comes around.
  • Oh, and when I say worse I mean WORSE just wait until you meet the Celestial Dragons.
  • Ohhhhh, the FIGHTS!!!!! This season is jam packed with fights. You will not be disappointed.
  • Is that Buggy the Clown on the horizon?

Here’s the thing about this season, it deals with a lot of personal growth on the side of each character but especially for Luffy. The Straw Hats have dealt with a lot of foes and because of their strong bond to each other they are usually able to squeak by even when it looks like they’ll be crushed. Their will to be their for each other is able to push them further than their opponents think is possible which gives them the edge. One might even argue that they have been able to outfight their rivals because they’ve been underestimated. Their reputations are growing though so the days of them being looked down on are numbered. Now they have the big guns thinking how best to take them down for good. With a bond as strong as there’s it becomes clear that if you want to take down The Straw Hats the best way is to divide and conquer.

Their greatest strength has always been their ability to go to great lengths to protect each other and that drive as has made them stronger. So what would happen if The Straw Hats were separated at time when they needed each other most? Would they be able to find their way to each other? Each member of The Straw Hats have found a home with each other as a crew. To force the crew apart is to take away what has slowly become each character home and family. What would it be like to suddenly have that taken away and would you be able to recover? Would you still be able to find hope after that?

These are the questions The Straw Hats find themselves asking. Each member will be faced with many trails that will leave lasting scars, scars that will shape them for the rest of their lives. The choices made in this season will create consequences that will send shockwaves through their lives and the whole One Piece world.

Buckle up kids and grab your tissues. This season is going to get real REAL quick.

  1. thanks for the warning haha what a coincidence, I am also watching One piece and I am also at whitebeard blackbeard part. But I think you’re a little far from where I am. But it was just nice knowing that someone is at the same ep as me. Happy watching!
